G.C. Yerry (Stony Brook) outdueled the league’s top pitcher, and Tyler Grogg (Toledo) paced the pinstripe attack as Webster defeated the Allegany County Nitros 4-2 to take a 1-0 lead in the New York Collegiate Baseball League West Division semi-finals.
Monte Marrocco paced a 14-hit attack and Kyle Raleigh (Ball State) gave up two runs over six and two-thirds innings, as the Webster Yankees downed the Hornell Dodgers 8-2 in New York Collegiate Baseball League action at Maple City Park.
Jason Gardner (Tusculum) hurled a complete game and Monte Marrocco sparked the offense as the Webster Yankees took the opener of doubleheader, 6-1 in New York Collegiate Baseball League action at Alfred State.
