I’ve already started researching. I have several answers I am going to use regardless of the questions. This way I will at least get my selections in ahead of Chas, and they won’t be any worse than my 7 of 10 performance in Challenge 1 (or my 0 for about 10 performance on “Big Dog” Robinson). Good luck to all! Hope some of you have strategies more effective than mine!

You are a SAND BAGGER!!!! 🙂

I think it’s going to be tough to defend my crown. I’m sure Smitty has some new strategy up his sleeve, and Muels and Pete (assuming he’s full of it with his “strategy”) are contenders as well. Rey is MIA, I guess, but if that danchasimcc guy competes, who knows? He’s good.

There are others lurking in the shadows- be afraid…be very, very afraid. 🙂

I cannot be there for Thursday… Sorry – I will be working at the wine store.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Tiger Woods likes to compete will Phil Mickelson, you know?

  7. Smitty says

    December 17, 2008 at 3:32 pm

Yeah, but your caddie hates me. In fact we are changing his name to “He Hates Me”.

Sorry dude, I cannot be there. Again the commish strikes again and puts Chas in line to repeat. And you guys thought my story was made up….

Who knew Tiger needed this much help.

What no internet access at the store? It’s not like you don’t have an in with management.

I smell something fishy. Is Smitty trying to distract Chas? Maybe catch the champion off guard – a little chicanery.

I’d be careful Chas, or you might find yourself quotin’ Marion Barry : “….set me up.”

“Chas – You have to play!! I refuse to become Phil Mickelson.” –Smitty

“Move the date. No joy winning if you don’t beat the Chas-man!” –Crossword Pete

I wonder who is sandbagging more, me or Smitty? Casey’s right Chas, there is danger in the air. But I think it will come in the form of one Abigail Gotham. Sandbag or no, I’ll still be 10 minutes behind Chas. In fact, I believe Chas and danchasimcc will both finish before I can even get my 7 wrong answers in. It’s all up to Abby. GO MUSKETEERS!

Pete – Rockne is rolling over in the grave with your speech. If you believe you can beat Chas – you will.

My apologies for not being there, because Chas – you would have been dethroned. Unfortunately, you had help again from the commish. Whatta sham… errr shame that is.

For some reason I have a song in my head right about now…
    “Let’s get it started… let’s get it started…”

I’m with you Mr. Montenaro! Go Musketeers!

Yeah, but I’m still betting on you to dethrone Chas, Abby, so in this case it’s:
GO MUSKETEER! Library research skills vs college student research skills; too close to call!

PS: To Muels. Good thing this is not “name that Tune” or “Don’t forget the lyrics”. I’d already be out!

  17. Chas says

    December 18, 2008 at 12:28 pm

I’m going to start referring to Pete as Mr. Montenaro.

  18. Casey says

    December 18, 2008 at 12:44 pm

He is more than worthy of the distinction. 🙂

I thought Mr. Montenaro was my father. Darn, I guess now it’s ME! As for you Chas, you BETTER call me Mr. Montenaro, especially if I can pull the upset! I think it might be POTW -worthy. BTW, what are we doing on the website in the middle of the work day? I know I’M researching some more wrong answers.
