No. 1 seed WEBSTER SCHROEDER (19-1)

Player(s) to watch: Phil Ferranti  (.600, 8-2B, 5-3B, 43 RBI, 22 R), Shane Marshall (.461, 7-2B, 4-3B, 4-HR, 24 RBI, 37 R, 15 SB), Michael Masucci (.429, 9 RBI, 13 R), John Stocum  (.429, 9 RBI, 18 R), Ben Mulhall  (6-0, 1.91 ERA), Josh Simons (6-0, 3.69 ERA) and Connor Bisaillon  (3-0, 1.93 ERA).

What to know: The reigning Class AA champs and 2016 NYS AA finalists rank No. 1 in the most recent NYS poll. 

No. 2 seed FAIRPORT (14-5)

Player(s) to watch: Mike Sabatine (.424, 25 H, 20 R, 7 RBI, 11 SB), Omar Rosa (.408, 20 H, 16 R, 18RBI, 6 SB), Evan Newkirk (.426, 20  H, 12  R, 15  RBI, 6 SB), Tyler Smith (1.50 ERA, 5-0, 25 K, 7 BB), Jake Schuler (1.85 ERA, 2-2, 13  K, 9 BB) and Trevor Povlock (2.70 ERA, 2-1, 34  K, 20 BB).

What to know: Fairport won five of six to close the regular season. Currently ranked No. 20 in the state.

No. 3 seed PENFIELD (15-5)

Player(s) to watch: Logan Martella-Tasick (.510, 22 RBI, 17 R), Noah Wulforst (.388, 16 RBI, 23 R), Jack Burke (.393, 19 RBI, 13 R), Kyle Straube (5-0, 37.1 innings, 1.50 ERA, 27 K) and Justin Harman (4-0, 30.1 innings, 1.62 ERA, 27 K).

What to know: Three of Penfield’s losses came by one run; won four of five to end the regular season including a win over Schroeder – the Warriors only loss of the season. Patriots currently rank No. 16 NYS Class AA. 

No. 4 seed WEBSTER THOMAS (13-5)

Player(s) to watch: Devin Mulcahy (.466, 12 R, 17 RBI, 2-1, 1.87 ERA), Ryan Carragher (.413, 13 R, 13 RBI), Damian Wright (.355, 19 R, 9 RBI, 4-2Bs, 2-3Bs), Ryan Mason (.349, 15 R, 12 RBI, 12 BB, 3-3, 1.91 ERA), Ryan Hill (.298, 17 R, 13 RBI, 15 BB), Ben Hufland (4-1, 2.33 ERA) and Justin LaLoggia (2-0, 1.75 ERA).

What to know: Two of the Titans losses were one-run setbacks to crosstown rival, Schroeder.

No. 5 seed MCQUAID (12-5)

Player(s) to watch: Tyler Cyrus (Sr. DH/1B .341, 12RBI), Erik Johnson (Jr. LHP 28.1 IP, 2.71 ERA, 18K, 7BB, 2-2), Billy Kehrig (Sr. OF .396, 19 RBI, 13R, 2-2B, 2-3B, .609 avg w/RISP) and Hunter Walsh (So. RHP 2.30 ERA, 27.1IP, 21K, 9BB, 3-0, 2SV).

What to know: Jesuit Knights have not lost to a Section Five team this season.

No. 6 seed RUSH-HENRIETTA (13-7)

Player(s) to watch: Lucas Haefner (Jr. RHP, 3-1, 22IP, 14K/.365, 14RBI, 19R), Zach Harter (Sr. 1B .429, 18R, 26RBI, 13XBH), Mitch Hoffower (Sr. LHP 4-2, 2.43 ERA, 31IP, 27K, 7BB) and Casimer Sobaszek (Sr. SS/RHP .357, 12R, 10RBI, 8XBH).

What to know: Rush-Henrietta recently beat state-ranked foes Fairport and Penfield and finished tied atop Monroe County Division-1.

No. 7 seed FRANKLIN (11-5)

Player(s) to watch: Julian Cotto (.457,  13 RBI, 38 R, 23 SB), Michael Lopez (4-2, 81 K, 39 innings, .333,  12 RBI,  22 R), Justin Moralez (.333,  17 RBI, 20R) and Jonathon Dones (3-0).

What to know: Franklin has won its last eight games including a pair of wins of Class A1 No. 1 seed East.

No. 8 seed VICTOR (11-9)

Player(s) to watch: Chris Varone (.354, 23 H, 9 RBI), Santino Rosso (.346, 18 H, 10 RBI), Blake Hildman (.317, 19 H, 11 RBI), Owen Delforte (.315, 17 H, 11 RBI), Tommy Ryan (.306, 19 H, 10 RBI), Andrew Westbrook (31.1 innings, 3-4, 3.80 ERA, 20 K) and Brandon Meeks (16 innings, 1-0, 1.75 ERA, 16 K).

What to know: Victor won four straight to end the season. Blue Devils start just one senior.

No. 9 seed HILTON (6-14)

Player(s) to watch: Kyle Pellechia  (.355), Ryan Schmitt (.333, 15 RBI, 1-HR, 5-2B) and Nic Rohloff (3-3, 3.38  ERA).

What to know: Hilton finished 2-3 in their final week of the regular season. Two of the losses were walk offs.

No. 10 seed EDISON (3-13)

Player(s) to watch: Jacob Heredia (.429, 21 H, 14 R) and Jean Melendez (.395, 15 H, 13 R, 21 SB).

What to know: Inventors won their last two games of the regular season.

No. 11 seed CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (3-15)

Player(s) to watch: Jake Carroll (.378, 3-2B, 13 RBI) and Christian Montanez (.340, 4-2B, 4-HR, 14 RBI, 17 BB).

What to know: Carroll along with fellow sophomore Ethan Putney give the Saints reason for hope.

No. 12 seed GATES-CHILI (2-18)

Player(s) to watch: Tyler Carpenter (14 H, 9-2B, 12 RBI), Jon Preston (12 H, 2-2B, 1-3B, 6 SB, 9 RBI), Connor Hong (10 H, 4-2B, 1-3B, 9 RBI, 1 win, & 4.85 ERA), Ian Unson (9 H, 1-2B, 15 BB, 0.397 OBP, 7 SB, & 10 CS) and Hunter Greenfield (17 K).

What to know: Senior hurler Connor Hong pitched his first game this spring after having Tommy John surgery.
