San Antonio Spurs 101 New Orleans Pelicans 98 (OT)
NEW ORLEANS – Kawhi Leonard (31) and LaMarcus Aldridge (21) combined for 52 points as the Spurs (47-13) extended their winning streak to five games.
Aldridge grabbed an offensive rebound and a dunked it home to tie the game with 2:36 left to go in the overtime. Patty Mills, who totaled 15 points, knocked down a three ball to put the Spurs ahead 97-94. Aldridge gave the Pelicans a shot to win the game missing his final two free throws, but a Cousins three ball came up short.
Anthony Davis (29) and Jrue Holiday (26) combined for 55 points, but the Pelicans (24-38) lost their fourth out of their last five games. DeMarcus Cousins added a double-double with 19 points and 23 rebounds.
Philadelphia 76ers 105 New York Knicks 102
PHILADELPHIA – Dario Saric registered a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds as the 76ers (23-38) snapped a three-game losing streak. Justin Anderson added 19 points and five rebounds off the bench. Derrick Rose had 20 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals as the Knicks (25-37) lost their fourth out of their last six games.
Orlando Magic 110 Miami Heat 99
ORLANDO – Nikola Vucevic netted 25 points, grabbed nine blocks and sent away three blocks as the Magic (23-39) have now won two out of three. Aaron Gordon added a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside recorded a double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds, but the Heat (28-34) dropped their second out of their last three.
Toronto Raptors 114 Washington Wizards 106
WASHINGTON – DeMar DeRozan dropped a team high 32 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and handed out five assists as the Wizards (37-25) won their fifth out of their last six games. Norman Powell scored 21 points off the bench. John Wall (30) and Bradley Beal (27) combined for 57 points, but the Wizards (36-24) ended a two-game skid.
Cleveland Cavaliers 135 Atlanta Hawks 130
ATLANTA – LeBron James (38) and Kyrie Irving (43) combined for 81 points as the Cavaliers (42-18) won for the sixth time in their last eight games. James added 13 rebounds and eight assists while Irving added nine assists and four steals. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 36 points off the bench, but the Hawks (34-27) lost their fourth out of the last six games.
Milwaukee Bucks 112 Los Angeles Clippers 101
MILWAUKEE – Gianni Antetokunmpo and Greg Monroe scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds apiece as the Bucks (27-33) snapped a two-game skid. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin netted 21 points a piece as the Clippers (36-25) lost their second straight.
Dallas Mavericks 104 Memphis Grizzlies 100
DALLAS – Seth Curry dropped 24 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out two assists and took away two steals as the Mavericks (25-36) won their third out of their last four games. Mike Conley netted a team high 30 points, but the Grizzlies (36-26) two game winning skid was snapped. Troy Daniels (VCU) grabbed a rebound and a steal in 15 minutes played off the bench.
Utah Jazz 112 Brooklyn Nets 97
UTAH – George Hill recorded 34 points and seven assists as the Jazz (38-24) snapped a two game losing skid. Derrick Favors added a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Quincy Acy scored a team high 18 points off the bench, but the Nets (10-50) lost their 17th out of their last 18 games. Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure) scored four points and grabbed four rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.
Phoenix Suns 118 Oklahoma City Thunder 111
PHOENIX – Eric Bledsoe (18), Devin Booker (18) and TJ Warren (15) combined for 50 points as the Suns (20-42) won their second straight. Russell Westbrook registered 48 points, 17 rebounds, nine assists and three steals, but the Thunder (35-27) lost their second straight.
Boston Celtics 115 Los Angeles Lakers 95
LOS ANGELES – Isaiah Thomas scored 18 points and handed out eight assists as the Celtics (40-22) won their second in a row. Al Horford added 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. Jordan netted a team high 20 points, collected four rebounds, handed out three assists and took away three steals, but the Lakers (19-43) lost their sixth straight.
