Lids Team Sports Patriot League Player of the Week
Jarred Jones, LOYOLA MARYLAND Jr., F, 6-7, 192; Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll
Jones had a pair of solid efforts last week as Loyola snapped a four-game losing skid and got back over .500 in Patriot League action with victories over Holy Cross and Lafayette. He started off by scoring 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting with eight rebounds, four steals and two assists in a 71-54 win at Holy Cross on Wednesday, then tallied 16 points, nine rebounds and a pair of assists and steals to lead the way in an 84-77 victory at home against Lafayette on Saturday. Jones averaged 19.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists in the two games while shooting 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) from the field and making 10-of-12 (83.3 percent) from the foul line. Jones leads Loyola in scoring (13.9) and rebounding (8.0) for the season, and becomes the first Greyhound since the 2013-14 season to earn the Lids Team Sports Patriot League Player of the Week award.

Delante Jones, AMERICAN Fr., G/F, 6-5, 195; Chantilly, Va./Virginia Episcopal
Jones had a pair of strong efforts as the Eagles extended their winning streak to three by notching road wins at two of the top three teams in the Patriot League standings last week. American snapped Navy’s six-game win streak with a 63-58 triumph on Wednesday as Jones scored a team-high 23 points while making 9-of-14 shots and added four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the outing. He followed it up with 15 points and four rebounds in a 54-49 win at Colgate on Saturday, doing most of his damage at the free throw line with a 10-of-14 clip. Jones made 11-of-19 shots (57.8%), 4-of-7 three-pointers and 12-of-17 free throws for the week while averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists and steals. He is averaging 20.3 points during American’s three-game win streak, and leads all freshmen while placing 11th overall with 13.6 points per game in Patriot League competition.

Nathan Dieudonne, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., F, 6-7, 235; Louisville, Ky./Trinity
Dieudonne averaged 14.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in two victories for Boston University, with a 17-point, 18-rebound effort in a 76-67 triumph at Army West Point on Wednesday.
Jesse Reed, AMERICAN Sr., G, 6-5, 185; Saltsburg, Pa./Kiski School
Reed averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of road wins for the Eagles last week.
Malachi Alexander, HOLY CROSS Jr., F, 6-7, 217; Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt
Alexander had a career-high 26 points and eight rebounds in Holy Cross’ 87-80 win in overtime against Navy on Saturday.
Tim Kempton, LEHIGH Jr., F/C, 6-10, 225; Scottsdale, Ariz./Brophy College Prep
Kempton had a big outing with 24 points and 11 rebounds in Lehigh’s 75-73 loss at Boston University on Sunday.
D.J. MacLeay, BUCKNELL Jr., F, 6-7, 225; San Antonio, Texas/Reagan
MacLeay averaged 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while making 10-of-15 field goals in two wins for Bucknell last week.
Tilman Dunbar, NAVY Sr., G, 5-10, 163; Woodbridge, Va./Paul VI Catholic
Dunbar scored 24 points in Navy’s overtime loss at Holy Cross on Saturday and averaged 19.0 in two games last week.
