DALLAS, TEXAS – Saint Joseph’s senior Halil Kanacevic will participate in the 2014 Reese’s® Division I College All-Star game, which will be played as part of Final Four Friday® at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, it was announced by The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The Reese’s Division I College All-Star game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The teams are composed of senior student-athletes in NCAA Division I.
The game will be telecast on a tape delay on Saturday, April 5, from 12-2 p.m. EDT on CBS.
Kanacevic will be a member of the East All-Stars, which will be coached by University of Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon. Stanford University coach Johnny Dawkins will coach the West All-Stars.
Kanacevic made his mark as one of the most unique players in school history, as the 6-8 forward topped the A-10 Champion Hawks in rebounds (8.8), assists (4.38) and blocks (1.53), while averaging 10.8 points per game. He finished his career with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, totals which included his freshman season at Hofstra. Kanacevic was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and was chosen as the Most Outstanding Player of the 2014 A-10 Championship.
