ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis senior guard Kwamain Mitchell has been chosen to participate in the 2013 Reese’s College All-Star Game, as announced today by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The All-Star game is set for Friday, April 5, at 4 p.m. (CT) during Final Four festivities at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Each roster is composed of 11 senior NCAA Division I men’s basketball student-athletes. Mitchell will play with the West All-Stars, a team that also features fellow A-10 players Troy Daniels (VCU) and Ramon Galloway (La Salle). Complete rosters of both squads are attached.
The event is free and open to the public. The game can be seen on tape delay Sunday, April 7, at 5 p.m. (CT) on CBS Sports Network.
Mitchell helped the 2012-13 Billikens to a school-record 28 victories, regular-season and tournament Atlantic 10 Conference titles and their second straight NCAA Tournament bid. He scored 10.6 points per game and averaged 3.1 assists per game while drawing third-team All-Conference plaudits.
Mitchell ends his career seventh on SLU’s all-time scoring list with 1,575 points. In addition, he is third on the career steals list with 172 and third with 420 career assists.
