It is that time again. Let’s hear from you readers. We had another week of stellar performances. Pick the ONE that stands out to you, and tell us a story.

The Cincinnati Reds earned my POTW.

It’s been a decade or two since the Redlegs have challenged this late in the year (yes, I know it’s May), but challenge they are.

The Reds have taken seven of their last eight, including two of three from the St. Louis Cardinals to grab first place in the NL Central.

Over the last eight games, the Reds’ pitching staff boasts an ERA of 1.88. The starters hold at 2.11.

Joey Votto leads the way at the plate with eight home runs, 24 RBI and a batting average of .289.

Cincinnati has not finished a season with a winning record since 2000.

Who gets your POTW?

I’ll stick with baseball and nominate the LA Dodgers, who won all of their games during the past week. They’ve won 7 in a row and 9 of last 10. Andre Ethier (good name for a hockey player) is slapping the ball around at a .392 pace with 38 RBI. But the REAL STORY has been pitching … the LADs yielded only 13 runs during the 7 game streak … less than 2 per game! Three of the wins were against the front-running Padres over the weekend.

Casey — Agree … nice to see the Reds having some success!

Wally – Great call! I figured I’d nominate the Reds before…well you know what I am talking about.

Yes … before it all goes pear-shaped for them ;)

Buh.. buh.. but what about Lebron?

    Just kidding.

In all seriousness he did put on one great act to stir a media frenzy after the game, taking off the jersey and what not.
