Okay loyal readers, here is your chance to get the discussion going. Let us know your insights and reactions to the games. Today is a great day for the Pine!
Thud! Another crash and burn by a Notre Dame team under the bright lights … football, hoops, doesn’t matter. Gagged by their own self-imposed pressure … talented and experienced upperclassmen dropping the ball yet again.
Harangody, Jackson, Abromaitis … collectively 8 of 31 from the field. Was it really ND’s game plan to avoid the paint, jack it up 26 times from beyond the arc, and shoot only 3 FT’s for the game???? Same old pattern for Brey’s resume: one step up, two steps down … and the beat goes on. Unfortunateyl, ND’s athletic dept will ignore the flameout and focus solely on the 6 game winning streak … Brey will continue to hoodwink them for a few more years. Maybe ND’s women will at least win a game in their tourney.
3 games complete – two decided in overtime another goes down to a last shot.
Buckle your seat belts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Racers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Murray State over Vanderbilt.
That makes 0-2 for the SEC.
How does a Big East team coached by John Thompson, that prides itself on making you earn it, allow Ohio Univ … not Ohio State Univ … Ohio Univ … the frickin Bobcats … to put almost 100 on ‘em??? Wow!
This is how it happens – the opponent shoots 13/23 from the three point arc. En fuego! Armon Bassett went 5/10 from long range.
Wow! The Big East is 1-3? And the win was in overtime?
Big East – best conference in the land. I think not. The way things are going SU may become the first ever #1 seed to lose to a #16. Remember, they were the first ever #2 to lose to a #15 (Richmond). The way things are going for Big East and SEC tends to confirm what I said in another post; after the #1 seeds it gets very even.
How about Jimmer Fredette. I did not see this, but my cousin was telling me that coaches demonstrated his favorite shot. On his crossover, he actually crosses over behind the back…of his DEFENDER! Get outta here! 37 points for BYU today, but I did not get to see any of it. Darn!
I got a chance to see a large part of that game. Fredette was great. Pete, you know he is from Glens Falls?

Agree … quite embarrassing for the “little east”. Nova was quite lucky to escape. Like I said a couple weeks ago, I think 10 teams could win this thing … it’s gonna continue to be crazy.
Very surprised that Temple was beaten rather handily by Cornell … as I’m sure some of you Owls fans on the bench are, too. I thought if Temple was going to lose, it sure woulda been closer than 78-65.
First ever NCAA tournament win for Cornell !!! I guess you gotta love it when the “text book geeks” pull off something like this … a warm fuzzy moment for college sports in general.
Kansas out … Nova out … anyone still alive in their brackets???
Brackets? What are brackets?
Considering Cornell’s outing today, maybe the Owls had a good game.
