How long does Barnes get to stay at Texas? Are they THAT distracted by football that they don’t see the talent that has been through there and the lack of depth in the tourney come March/April?

Haven’t seen any UTEP games. Liked Richmond and their offensive style. They’re a big man away from being a real problem in the tourney.

    Poor Purdue :(

The Barnes / Texas situation is a head scratcher. Technically, Durant could still be playing there as could DJ Augustin. Right? Durant is in his third season? Barnes gets these great guys, but the last two years have been rough in Austin. How much longer will guys go there if Texas continues its struggles.

The best thing I can say about UTEP – they know no fear. That is a dangerous characteristic come tournament time. Randy Culpepper and Derrick Caracter are ballers.

Richmond frustrates the heck out of opponents. The match up zone is friggin’ brutal. That game Sunday was GREAT. They knocked down 12 of 29 threes against a Xavier team that ranks in the top 20 of 3pt defense.

Speaking of Durant – has anyone comitted himself to an Oklahoma City Thunder game? This kid can flat out shoot and flat out score from anywhere on the court. I may be stating the obvious, but did anyone see this happening THIS fast? He’s still 21! With his length and touch how can anyone mark him if he decides that he is going to take every shot for his team?

I like Durant if only because he is a star who is not holding management hostage. At least not for now. I have seen a couple quarters of Ok City this year.
