Anyone watching the Olympics? Anyone creeped out as much as me by the tag team of Costas & Collinsworth? Costas tries to speak several times greater than his height, while Collinsworth seems like a leery drunk at a ski lodge, hitting on all the young chicks. But at least they only cut to them in the breaks. The hockey announcers, NBC’s crack team of Emerick, Turgeon, and Milburn, do more to suck the life and excitement out of sports than I can imagine. Yet the worst announcing came last night during the 2 man luge, when the commentator said of several pairs, “Those guys look good on a sled.” I get what he was trying to say, but the way it came off, uh, let’s just say two guys in latex lying on top of another going for a ride conjures up thoughts less then appropriate for family viewing.

    Okay, I feel better.

The hockey announcers aren’t all that bad IMO, well at least the ones in the U.S game, They usually annouce the games on the VS network so i can live with them.

The USA didnt look all too good in their win over Sweden tuesday, but the key is Ryan Miller, He needs to play lights out if the Americans even have a chance against Canada sunday night.( I know im over looking Norway they got spanked by the Canadiens 8-0) The U.S has a tough task trying to stop Heatley, Sid the kid and company.

I enjoyed the verbal sparring between Roenick and Milbury. They almost came to blows and then it was time for a commercial. Milbury is entertaining, but I understand now why he struggles as a GM.

Mark – great to see you on the Pine.

Ugh, I referred to McGwire as Turgeon, no idea why. Proabbaly because he annoys me so.
