I am responding late, but not looking at other posts before doing so. i GO WITH a, more RPG, more BPG, less FPG. He's my man, even if against weaker schedule..

Player A is Jarvis Varnado from Mississippi State.

Player B is DeMarcus Cousins from Kentucky.

Solid conversation on the Pine.

I would take player A and here's why:

He currently plays more minutes then player B and manages to foul less, I feel if player B's minutes were to increase he would put himself into more foul trouble, which quite frankly could be the reason whoever player B is, is only seeing 21-22 minutes per game.

Centers in basketball should never really be relied on for steals, so that stat isn't weighing into my decision much but.. Rebounds and Blocks do and player A clearly leads in both categories by a considerable margin in basketball term. Some may say that given the minutes player B could reach that status, however I feel his foul trouble would manage to get in his way.

Player A could also be a transfer, or a player with bad grades in high school who just needed to go somewhere.

I don't know but I would take player A and rely on him to play up to the level of the competition.

I prefer Player A. I love the 5 block per game, like Dan .... and A stays out of foul trouble. Probably alters a lot of shots, too, and is the backbone of his team's defense. Suspect he would perform similarly if his team played a stronger schedule. Hard to coach size and wingspan!

This is a pretty cool idea, and I'm your man to not be biased...because I know a thing or two about basketball statistics, but I'm not in the know about the current players...college especially. So, no bias here.

At first glance, I agree with Dan. Player A's numbers had me salivating, until I got to the strength of schedule. Player B obviously plays a much tougher schedule, and those numbers are pretty great for the minutes played. So, I'm going to assume Player B has a tremendous upside. If he's a freshman or a sophomore, he's definitely my man.

It does depend somewhat on the supporting cast, though. If I have game-changing players at other positions, I might take Player A. Too wishy-washy? If pressed for an answer, I go with B.

Averages a double double, gets 5!! blocks per game, is a decent free throw shooter when he gets fouled, and plays 3/4 of the game while staying out of foul trouble.... Player A is my man.
