The Pickin Splinters committee has done a fine job with the top 25. I would not have looked at a couple of these teams as closely as I have if it weren't for the poll. Miss St could also surprise people this year. The Buckeyes struggles will come with their back court. They are vulnerable to full court pressure. They could lose some games early. How they respond to those losses will give a clue to success in March. And to think Matta was at Xavier not too long ago. Hate to admit it, but Ohio State looks tough…as do many of these teams. Even when he had Conley and Oden - Oden was banged up for a majority of the year ( Hmmmmm, was there a trend there) and Matta still got them to the Finals.
