wilson-leather-official-ncaa-footballSeptember 14, 1991 – The 23rd ranked, 1-0 Baylor Bears & coach Grant Teaff traveled to Boulder to meet the 12th ranked 1-0 Colorado Buffaloes of coach Bill McCartney.  Baylor’s QB J.J. Joe threw for 233 with a touchdown & PK Jeff Ireland hit 3 field goals as the Bears posted a 16-14 upset to claim The Belt for the first time.
