As I traveled to Indiana/Chicago on Wed. something possessed me to search the radio for a talk show. I happened upon a talk radio station out of Detroit that had the mayor as a guest. He was fielding questions and comments from listeners. That mayor is none other than former SU and NBA great Dave Bing. I was flabbergasted. Dave is not only a great player, but truly one of the gentlemen and scholars in all of sports. While I do not pretend to know the ins-and-outs of Detroit by any means, like anyone I know it’s reputation. He certainly has taken on a monumental task. The only tougher job would be trying to make winners of the Lions. BTW, they were the only team to go through the preseason last year UNDEFEATED! Guess they spent all their wins in the-oh-so-valuable NFL preseason! Good luck Dave Bing.
