NewYorkYankeesA2Call it giving credit where credit is due.

Call it eating some crow.

Call it a comeuppance.

Call…it… what… you… want.

The Bronx Bombers. The pinstripes. The New York Yankees get my POTW.

Take your pick with which aspect of their team gets the honor. Maybe the pitching staff, which held the Red Sox without a run for 31 innings gets the POTW.

Maybe it’s Alex Rodriguez who managed to hit a pair of home runs.

Or, maybe Johnny Damon gets the POTW.

Whoever, or whatever, the Bombers with their four-game sweep of the Sox get my POTW.

Who gets your POTW?

Excuse me – I’m looking for the domain http://www.pickinsplinters.com. Wasn’t sure how I got here, but could you redirect me to that specific URL?

I’ll go with Tiger Woods. He eagled, hit 54 of 55 putts within 15 feet or so, and kept the pressure on Harrington all day yesterday. Of course, Padraig helped Tiger out quite a bit by triple bogeying 16. Tiger looked in top form heading into Hazeltine for the PGA Championship.
