I was born in Danville, Illinois and eventually taken in the first round of the MLB draft. I would go on to play my entire 20-year career with one team. I hit over .300 on six occasions. Three times I drove in over 100. I finished my career with 251 HRs, 271 stolen bases, and over 3,000 hits. I played in three post-season series and batted .344 in 17 games. My trophy case includes three Silver Sluggers (at two different positions), one Gold Glove, and two MVPs. I played in three all-star games – twice as a starter. My plaque hangs at Cooperstown.

BoSox fans … the plot thickens. Lester looks human and you’re down 2-1. Your take on this turn of events?

P.s. — I still think RedSox will win this series. (But, of course, I thought the Cubs would win it all this year … Oops).

Wanna know how bad I am? I thought we were down 3-1. Honest to God. When I read Wally’s comment I was originally going to make the correction. Then I read the paper. Wow! Maybe it was that last night felt like it was worthy of two losses. ND loses, the G-Men get smacked, the Isles look awful, and I’m thinking the Sox are down 3-1.

Just so everyone knows – I am clad in my Sox polo at work. Three people have already asked – “How can you wear that shirt after last night’s game?”

    Casey –
Ya just tell ‘em: “I’m a fan of this team in good times and bad. Besides, I think we’re still gonna win this thing.” :)

Wow … Giants smacked down by the Browns! Rams over the Skins? In the NFL, anything can happen. … Like losing the lead after kicking off with 11 frickin’ seconds left on the clock. I’m still waiting for the axe to fall on Lovie ….
