I gotta give credit where credit is due: Joba Chamberlain earns my POTW. I know Manny was not in the lineup, and Ortiz made his first major league appearance since an injury, but Chamberlain tossing seven shutout frames was impressive.

Who gets your POTW?

As impressive as Joba’s performance was, I am still depressed over the fact it had to happen to the red sox. I do believe that if Manny was in the lineup, and Ortiz had seen some major league pitching before this, it would have been a diffrent story. If you look at what happened tonight Manny and Ortiz dominated the yankees pitching staff. I won’t take the credit away from Joba though, shutting down the rest of the red sox lineup is impressive. He deserves the POTW.

It’s getting crazy on the clipboard. Casey voting for a Yankee’s performance in Fenway?

Staying with the bizzaro world theme, I vote for Nancy Lieberman for getting two assists at the age of 50.
